The Trust Hospital in Ghana began as a healthcare provider exclusively for SSNIT staff but was later incorporated as The Trust Hospital Company Limited in November 2010. Since then, it has expanded its operations to include multiple facilities: The Trust General Hospital, The Trust Specialist Hospital, and the Trust Mother and Child Hospital.
Strategically, Trust Hospital has focused on enhancing service delivery and patient care. Notably, their Pink October breast cancer awareness campaign reached over a million individuals, demonstrating their commitment to cancer prevention. Additionally, the establishment of the Trust Cancer Care unit highlights the hospital effort to provide comprehensive cancer treatment locally, reducing the need for patients to seek treatment abroad.
In 2018, Trust Hospital embraced digital transformation by implementing an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, improving the efficiency of healthcare services across its facilities. Trust Hospital dedication to sustainable and patient-centered care was recognized at the 7th Sustainability & Social Investment (SSI) Awards, where the hospital received awards for Excellence in Sustainable Medical Practices and Sustainable Patient-Centered Care Model. Trust Hospital’s innovations in healthcare, focus on patient well-being, and commitment to sustainable practices have contributed to the hospitals recognition as ‘Hospital of the Year’ at the Ghana Business Standards Awards.
