Accra, Ghana – The 8th edition of the Ghana-West Africa Healthcare Excellence Awards came off in grand style on Saturday, 29th March 2025, at the Marriot Hotel, Accra, under the theme “Recognizing Standards and Excellent Stewardship in the Health Industry.” The event celebrated the outstanding contributions of healthcare institutions, professionals, and innovators across Ghana and the West African sub-region.

The prestigious awards ceremony brought together a cross-section of the healthcare sector—public and private—to recognize and honor exemplary commitment to quality healthcare delivery, innovation, regulatory excellence, and patient care.

The keynote address was delivered by Hon. Prof. Titus Beyuo, Member of Parliament for Lambussie, who emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards and ethical practices to meet the dynamic needs of modern healthcare. Mrs. Sandra Ayivor, Head of Accreditation Maintenance at the FDA’s Quality Management Systems Directorate, served as Guest Speaker and highlighted the critical role of accreditation and regulation in improving healthcare systems.

Top companies and individuals were awarded across several categories, including Best Hospital of the Year, Most Innovative Healthcare Brand, Outstanding Medical Practitioner, and Pharmaceutical Company of the Year. The awards also honored individuals for lifetime achievements and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
